Cheat Sheet To Homemade Strawberry Lemonade
Listing out some FAQ’s with all the little tips and tricks to making the best strawberry lemonade ever.
- Can I use frozen strawberries in this strawberry lemonade recipe? The answer is yes, but you’ll end up with more of a lemonade slush instead of a liquid drink. That said, what I recommend is measuring the strawberries and letting them thaw before blending them. Just a little hack to ‘fresh’ strawberries that aren’t really fresh haha.
- Do I need to strain the lemonade? Straining this strawberry lemonade is a must. Otherwise the lemonade will be grainy with strawberry seeds. You can either use a sieve or a nut milk bag (I recommend the nut milk bag as you’ll get a smoother lemonade).

Description
Think classic lemonade, but upgraded with the addition of sweet strawberries. Plus, it’s refined sugar-free and made with wholesome good-for-you ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped Strawberries
- 2 cups Water
- ½ cup Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- ⅓ cup Honey
- ⅛ tsp Kosher salt
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients into a blender (add the strawberries, water and lemon juice first so the honey doesn’t stick to the bottom).
- Turn the blender on low, slowly ramping up the speed to medium-high. Let the lemonade blend for 2 minutes until frothy and a creamy pink color. Taste the lemonade and adjust for sweetness.
- Pour the lemonade through a nut milk bag to strain out the strawberry seeds and pulp. Pour the lemonade into a glass pitcher and let chill in the fridge for 1 hour or pour it over ice and enjoy immediately!
Notes
*Instead of using water, you can use coconut water for an extra refreshing and nutritious lemonade.
**If you’re feeling fancy, wet the rims of your glass and roll the sides and top rim of the glass in coconut sugar or granulated monk fruit sugar (or regular cane sugar). This will give you that fancy “mocktail” look to your lemonade glass. 🙂
***Last thing, you can easily make watermelon lemonade following this same method and recipe. Simply replace the strawberries with watermelon cubes. Pro tip, mix half of the watermelon lemonade with sparkling water or club soda and throw in some chopped mint. Tastes absolutely amazing and makes this fruity lemonade taste more like a mocktail

I’ve made this wonderful drink several times now and it’s so great. Not going to lie, my fave is definitely strawberry one but this one is a close second, it’s so fresh, right for the summer.
I’ve also made a slight change last night, I added white rum and that was a big game changer. I’ll definitely make this again and again
