This strawberry coconut cloud smoothie is a copycat version of the viral Erewhon strawberry glaze smoothie. It’s creamy, dreamy, strawberry heaven.
And unlike the Erewhon version, this strawberry smoothie doesn’t cost $17!
One quick note, I know smoothies sometimes get a bad rap as being high in sugar and not a balanced breakfast. But this strawberry coconut cloud smoothie recipe is nutritionally dense, packed with fiber, and will keep you full for hours!
Strawberry Smoothie Ingredients
Here’s everything you’ll need to make this creamy, dreamy, strawberry coconut cloud smoothie.
- Frozen banana: Quick tip, if you’re freezing bananas, wait until they’re super spotty.
- Frozen strawberries
- Frozen raspberries
- Cashew milk: As always, I used my homemade cashew milk but any creamy plant-based milk will work.
- Vanilla protein powder: I don’t use protein powder all the time, but I do like to add it to my morning smoothies to make them balanced and nutritionally dense. Lately, I have been loving Ka’Chava’s vanilla protein – it has wonderful ingredients which is the most important factor to me with protein powders.
- Almond butter: This is optional, but I like adding it for extra creaminess and healthy fats.
- Vanilla paste or vanilla extract
- Kosher salt or celtic sea salt
- Coconut yogurt: I love using Cocojune’s plain coconut yogurt – it’s super thick and creamy.
- Freeze-dried strawberries: Totally optional; I like to crumble it up and sprinkle it on the glass for an extra cute effect.
Tips For An Extra Thick Smoothie
- Don’t use any more milk than called for. It’ll make the smoothie super thin and runny. Speaking of milk, make sure to use creamy milk like almond or cashew milk for the best results. Oh, and use cold milk, otherwise it’ll melt your smoothie!
- Let the ingredients thaw instead of adding more liquid. If you feel like your smoothie needs extra milk to blend better, let the ingredients sit in the blender instead. I’d recommend letting them sit for 5 minutes; this should be enough to soften the frozen bananas.
- Blend low and slow. If you try to blend your smoothie on high, it’ll be a struggle for your blender and you’ll be left with a chunky smoothie. Instead, blend on medium-low speed for around 3 minutes for a creamy, dreamy smoothie.
Ok, that’s all for this smoothie. And if you like this recipe, try my green smoothie next (it genuinely tastes good, unlike most green smoothie recipes)!
