Description

These homemade sourdough croutons are addictively good, super easy to make and take just under 25 minutes to whip up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 thick slices Sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp Italian herb mix
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Chop your bread into even sized cubes and dump onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle over all the spices, followed by a generous drizzle of olive oil. Using your hands, toss the croutons to thoroughly coat in oil. Then gently spread out on the sheet, so each crouton is evenly spaced out and resting flat.
  4.  Bake the croutons in the oven for 6-8 minutes until golden in color. Let cool on the counter until room temp before using. Keep in mind that the croutons will continue to harden as they cool, so don’t over bake them!
