Description

This cinnamon roll toast tastes so similar to a cinnamon roll, just without any added sugars or preservatives. Plus, it’s secretly good for you and packed with nutrients!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices Ezekiel Bread
  • 4 tbsp Vegan Cream cheese
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Almond butter
  • 1 tbsp Date syrup
  • 1 tbsp Cashew milk
  • ½ tsp Ceylon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped Pecans

Instructions

  1. Begin by toasting the ezekiel bread. While it’s toasting make the cream cheese spread and the cinnamon syrup.
  2. In a bowl, add the cream cheese, vanilla extract and salt. Stir to combine. In a separate bowl, add in the almond butter, date syrup, cinnamon, salt and cashew milk. Whisk all of the ingredients together until a thick syrup forms.
  3. At this point the bread should be golden brown and crisp. Spread a generous portion of the cream cheese on the toast, about ½ of the cream cheese mixture per slice of bread, and top each piece of toast with a generous drizzle of the thick cinnamon sugar syrup. Finally, top each piece of toast with chopped pecans for some extra crunch. Enjoy immediately.
  4. You can even pop the finished toast into the oven or toaster oven for 2 minutes to warm them up even more. The warmer the toast, the more it tastes like a cinnamon roll.
