Description
This cinnamon roll toast tastes so similar to a cinnamon roll, just without any added sugars or preservatives. Plus, it’s secretly good for you and packed with nutrients!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices Ezekiel Bread
- 4 tbsp Vegan Cream cheese
- ½ tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp Almond butter
- 1 tbsp Date syrup
- 1 tbsp Cashew milk
- ½ tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chopped Pecans
Instructions
- Begin by toasting the ezekiel bread. While it’s toasting make the cream cheese spread and the cinnamon syrup.
- In a bowl, add the cream cheese, vanilla extract and salt. Stir to combine. In a separate bowl, add in the almond butter, date syrup, cinnamon, salt and cashew milk. Whisk all of the ingredients together until a thick syrup forms.
- At this point the bread should be golden brown and crisp. Spread a generous portion of the cream cheese on the toast, about ½ of the cream cheese mixture per slice of bread, and top each piece of toast with a generous drizzle of the thick cinnamon sugar syrup. Finally, top each piece of toast with chopped pecans for some extra crunch. Enjoy immediately.
- You can even pop the finished toast into the oven or toaster oven for 2 minutes to warm them up even more. The warmer the toast, the more it tastes like a cinnamon roll.
