So you have tons of lemons you need to use up and no clue what to do with them? Enter this refreshing easy sparkling lemonade recipe — the drink you’ll be making all summer long.
And best of all, you can easily change up the flavors of this lemonade — so that it almost tastes like a healthy soda!
How Do You Make Sparkling Lemonade
This recipe couldn’t be simpler to make.
- Begin by squeezing the lemon juice. You can either roll the lemon on the counter to make it easier to squeeze by hand. Or you can use a juicer.
- Pour the lemon juice into a froth or keep it in a glass cup if you are going to use a hand frother. Add in a pinch of salt.
- Turn the frother on the cold setting and while the lemon juice froths, stream in the honey (or maple syrup/stevia). Let the mixture continue to froth for at least 2 minutes to incorporate.
- Pour the lemon mixture into a glass filled with ice, followed by the sparkling water. Stir to mix and enjoy!
Flavor Variations
The best things about this sparkling lemonade (besides tasting bomb) is that it’s super easy to make different flavors. Think sparkling strawberry lemonade, sparkling blueberry lemonade etc. Essentially, you can make your very own soda flavors at home.
I’ll leave some of my favorite combinations below. One note, to create different flavors, I recommend just buying an extract, using flavored (unsweetened) sparkling water, or using fresh fruits.
Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade Recipe:
- Method 1: Use strawberry flavored sparkling water instead of plain sparkling water aka soda water.
- Method 2: Use a few drops of strawberry extract in the lemonade. Highly recommend this strawberry extract from [insert brand name].
- Method 3: Either mash a few fresh strawberries by hand or pop them into a blender and blitz them into a juice. Strain the strawberries so just the juice is left and pour this into the lemonade mixture.
Sparkling Watermelon Lemonade Recipe:
- Method 1: Simply add half sparkling water and half watermelon juice into the lemonade mixture. You can easily make your own watermelon juice by blending up watermelon and straining it through a sieve. Or leave the pulp if you want extra fiber!
- Method 2: Use a watermelon flavored sparkling water.
Sparkling Mint Lemonade Recipe:
- Method 1: Finely dice fresh mint leaves and add them into the sparkling lemonade mixture. The oils from finely dicing the mint will infuse into the drink and give a subtle mint flavor.
- Method 2: Use a mint flavored sparkling water OR use mint extract to give a mint flavor.

Description
So you have tons of lemons you need to use up and no clue what to do with them? Enter this refreshing easy sparkling lemonade recipe — the drink you’ll be making all summer long.
Ingredients
- Sparkling Water ((see notes))
- 1 medium Lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp Honey ((sub with maple syrup or 5–6 drops liquid stevia))
- ⅛ scant tsp Salt
Instructions
- Begin by squeezing the lemon juice. You can either roll the lemon on the counter to make it easier to squeeze by hand. Or you can use a juicer.
- Pour the lemon juice into a froth or keep it in a glass cup if you are going to use a hand frother. Add in a pinch of salt. Turn the frother on the cold setting and while the lemon juice froths, stream in the honey (or maple syrup/stevia). Let the mixture continue to froth for at least 2 minutes to incorporate.
- Pour the lemon mixture into a glass filled with ice, followed by the sparkling water. Stir to mix and enjoy!
Notes
*I like using flavored sparkling waters, such as strawberry, watermelon, white peach etc. Most grocery stores sell these in a large jar/bottle that is super affordable. This way the lemonade tastes almost identical to a soda!

This is exactly what I was looking for! I want to be able to have a healthy soda without the worry of lots of sugar or unhealthy chemicals from sugar free varieties. This sounds like it will be wonderful! Thank you!
