Description

This sour melon spritzer is a combo of sweet honeydew, lime juice and zest, and fresh mint. Think all the fun and flavor of sour melon candy, with a hint of mint. It’s the perfect iced summer sipper!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium ripe honeydew, cubed
  • 2 limes zested
  • 2/3 cup lime juice (about 4 medium limes)
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed mint leaves
  • Sparkling water or club soda

Instructions

  1. Blend the sour melon base. In a blender, add the cubed honeydew, lime zest, lime juice, and mint leaves. Blend on medium-high for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  2. Strain and store. Strain the sour melon base in a fine mesh sieve over a bowl (alternatively you can use a nut milk bag). Then pour the concentrate into a jar and store in the fridge until you’re ready to use.
  3. Make the spritzer. When you’re ready to make your spritzer, fill a cup halfway with ice, and garnish with lime wedges, honeydew balls, and mint. Then pour 1/2 cup of the sour melon base over the ice, followed by 1/2 cup of sparkling water or club soda. Mix and enjoy!
