Description
This homemade vanilla almond milk is rich, creamy, thick and froths beautifully for your morning coffee or tea. Plus you need just 3 ingredients, a blender, and a nut milk bag to make this.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup almonds*
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
- Pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
- Simply add all the ingredients into a high-speed blender. Blend on low, slowly ramping up the speed to medium-high. Blend for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
- Pour the milk into a nut milk bag and squeeze to strain out the milk. Pour the almond milk into a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
*If you have a low-powered blender, I recommend soaking the almonds overnight so it’s easier to blend. I used my Vitamix for this which is great for making nut milks!
Feel free to add in 1 medjool date or 1 tbsp of maple syrup to add a touch of sweetness to this almond milk if you prefer.
