For those of you who love my midnight tart cherry mocktail, but also love to meal-prep, this version is for you! Essentially, I’ve made this recipe into a concentrate that you can store in the fridge for 4-5 days, so you can easily whip this drink up on busy weeknights.
Quick backstory, this midnight tart cherry mocktail is a (dare I say it) better version of that sleepy girl mocktail that took TikTok by storm this past summer. It’s the perfect nightcap to end the day and set yourself up for a great night of deep sleep!
This mocktail is a combo of tart cherry juice, lime juice, lime zest, vanilla, and sparkling water. It tastes like a sour cherry soda but with tons of health benefits. Plus, it whips up in less than 10 minutes and couldn’t be easier to make!
Sidenote, if you like this, highly recommend trying out my golden-glow tonic that’s perfect for the morning.
But What is a Sleepy Girl Mocktail?
So the basic recipe for the sleep girl mocktail is super simple. It’s just tart cherry juice, magnesium powder, and sparkling water.
However, I felt like this mocktail could taste better. So I opted to add lime juice, lime zest, and maple syrup to make this mocktail taste like a sour cherry soda.
Midnight Tart Cherry Mocktail Ingredients
Here’s everything you’ll need to make my version of the TikTok tart cherry juice mocktail.
- Tart cherry juice: Duh!
- Lime juice and zest
- Honey or maple syrup: Feel free to use raw honey if you like; both taste amazing.
- Magnesium: Lately I’ve been making this mocktail without the magnesium and getting the same sleepy results! If you do want to add in magnesium, I love Arrae’s Calm Supplement and Moon Juice Magnesi-Om.
- Vanilla extract
- Celtic sea salt
- Sparkling water: My favorite is Gerolsteiner, which is naturally carbonated water. And no, this is not an ad, I just love their water!
Flavor Variations
Leaving a few fun flavor ideas below for you to try out, but the lime version of this mocktail will always be my favorite.
- Swap the sparkling water out for iced chamomile tea for an extra calming mocktail.
- Instead of sparkling water, use a prebiotic soda or flavored sparkling water to make this mocktail taste more like a soda!
So excited for you to make this mocktail! If you have any questions at all, feel free to leave a comment below or DM me on Instagram.

Description
This midnight tart cherry mocktail is a (dare I say it) better version of that sleepy girl mocktail that took TikTok by storm this past summer. It tastes like a sour cherry soda but with tons of health benefits.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (8 oz) tart cherry juice
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 limes worth of zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt
- Sparkling water (favorite is Gerolsteiner)
Instructions
- Make the concentrate. Add the cherry juice, lime juice, honey, lime zest, vanilla, and salt into a jar or blender. Then shake or blend for 2 minutes until slightly frothy. Store the concentrate in the fridge for up to 4 days
- Prep the mocktail and serve*. When you’re ready to serve, shake the concentrate well. Then pour 1/2 cup of the cherry limeade concentrate over a glass filled halfway with ice (preferably my everyday cup) and top off with 1/2 cup of sparkling water. The ratio of concentrate to water is 1:1.
Notes
*When you’re ready to serve, feel free to froth magnesium powder into the concentrate before pouring it over your cup of ice. Lately I’ve been making this mocktail without the magnesium and getting the same sleepy results! If you do want to add in magnesium, I love Arrae’s Calm Supplement and Moon Juice Magnesi-Om.
